The musician Blanca Lamar (Les Sueques) and the poet Maria Callís have carefully developed a project that gives a voice to grand Catalan women writers of the 19th and 20th centuries: from Maria Antònia Salvà to Dolors Miquel and back again.

Entitled Lleona, this project offers a carefully chosen selection of texts and poems that Lamar and Callís have repeated numerous times to the point they have made them their own.

Lleona is not just a tribute to our women writers, but also a set of playful songs that mix styles, rhythms and layers of sound. This musical fusion creates an interesting contrast with pop melodies and the texts they recite, at times abrupt. This is how they offer a new way of understanding poetry.
