Regions such as West Africa, North Africa, Latin America, the Mediterranean and the Middle East come together for La Mercè at the Encuentro d’Arreu a celebaration of roots music.

What do the jota and the Chilean cueca have in common? And what about the tarantella and gnawa music? This gathering revisits our history and cultural connections through traditional music and dance. It's time to find the common ground between the communities that live alongside each other!

This show is based on the Encuentros de raíz, [roots gatherings] which explore the history and music which over the centuries have forged our traditions, at a festival featuring more than fifty distinguished musicians from all over the world.
