Reggae, sound system culture - Buenos Aires / Barcelona
L'Espai Bota
Space reserved for people with reduced mobility
Belén Natalí is an artist with a long career in reggae and sound system culture behind her, and she's starting a new project with lo-fi pop rhythms, reminiscent of R&B, jazz and Jamaican music. Artists such as Ferran Palau and Santa Salut have collaborated on her EP Jacarandá. Natalí launches a new chapter in her career in the company of musicians and producers like Genis Trani, Hoss$ Benitez and Enric Peinado, from the groove combo Big Menu.
Of the six tracks, Velita is a piece of lo-fi pop with hints of RB and jazz. In Boedo, she mixes alternative R&B with fresh touches of bossa nova, afro-pop percussion and elements of murga, in a blend of folklore and mood chill vibes, refreshingly mellow. Jacarandá creates a lo-fi R&B atmosphere with an urban edge. Clones, with Santa Salut, is an indie pop treasure that vindicates the power of being real in a world where appearances rule. In Diluvio she explores her beloved afro beat adding Latin and psychedelic elements, and Camping bossa nova style with acidic lyrics. She has also released a house remix of the EP's title track with the GRAVY music production company.
