Abdullah Miniawy is a French-Egyptian writer, singer, composer and actor who will be taking to the stage at the BAM to offers us his avant-garde electronic soundscapes with highly poetic lyrics.

Miniawy combined with Carl Gari this year (a German trio he has been working with since 2016) to release the album Shoot the Engine, plus the recent single “A SORCERER OR A MADMAN” with Baptiste-Florian Marle-Ouvrard, Guillaume Humery and Yom. The artist is also known for having created various soundtracks for dance shows, theatre productions and exhibitions.

Abdullah Miniawy’s influence goes well beyond music as he is an artist who takes part in political work and is active in the world of film (winner of the award for best actor from the Arab Film Centre in Cannes). He also promotes and defends the Middle East.
