Weatherproofing under way at the seafront by the Olympic Port
Work gets under way this week to weatherproof the section of the seafront by the Olympic Port, between C/ Marina and the Moll de Gregal wharf. The work is part of the project to transform the seafront into a blue economy hub for the city and is expected to be completed in August.
The weatherproofing work will solve the problems of water filtration detected in some premises at the port, which have been undergoing a renovation process since September to give them business uses in the blue economy.
The work has a budget of 1.3 million euros and also includes the renovation of lighting in this section of the seafront.
Work is being carried out in two stages, with the circulation of pedestrians and bicycles to be maintained via two alternative routes.
