The urban transformation of the Colònia Castells moves forward
Approval for a new injection of funding worth 22.5 million euros to restart the expropriation process in the Colònia Castells area, between C/ Entença, C/ Montnegre and C/ Gelabert, brought to a standstill by the Covid-19 crisis. The funds will help cover the expropriation of assets, the termination of activities and the demolition of properties. The 31 families affected by the new stage will have the choice of being re-housed or receiving compensation. The re-housing process will fill the staircase of building B-1 at Entença-Morales, which has 20 flats set aside for those affected by the expropriations at the Colònia Castells.
The final development project for the Colònia Castells area, initiated fifteen years ago, includes the construction of new homes and a green area.
