New agreement to create a large city park of 35,500 m2 in Sants-Montjuïc
The urban revamp affects the block known as the ‘Illa Citroën’ in the neighbourhood of La Bordeta and includes housing and facilities. The Government Commission has approved the agreement with the company Stellantis España, SL, which will grant the use of 19,000 square metres of land.
The area includes the space between C/ Constitució, Rambal de Badal and C/ Riera Blanca, plus the TMB premises in La Bordeta.
The new park will have 21,000 square metres of greenery, 210 homes, half of them officially protected, and nearly 3,000 square metres of facilities.
The publicly operated Escola Cavall Bernat will also be extended, with improved accessibility to the school and to the Santa Eulàlia metro station.
The amendment to the urban plan allowing the land to be given new uses will be approved at the end of the year.
