New Vall d’Hebron vocational medical training centre to open for the 2024-25 academic year
Barcelona’s public vocational training network gets a new institute specialising in medical training, thanks to collaboration with the Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron. The new centre brings the number of vocational training centres in the city to 31 in all.The Institut d’FP Sanitària Vall d’Hebron starts life with the aim of becoming a leading centre in comprehensive training for professional medical staff. The centre will begin by offering a wide range of training cycles and is set to add professional certification and specialist courses. The centre will have 60 teachers, catering for the needs of 800 students and building alliances with third-level hospitals such as the same Hospital Universitari Vall d’Hebron.
The new centre will also work closely with other leading centres to incentivise research and the knowledge of the most innovative techniques in the field of health. The internationalisation of studies will also be promoted through the Erasmus programme and other initiatives to foster student mobility.
Teaching for the 2024-2025 academic year
Most of the training options offered for the next academic year come from the Institut Vall d’Hebron, the Institut La Guinenueta, the Institut Flos i Calcat and the Institut Moisès Broggi.
