Call for projects for the 25N Award
Projects can now be put forward for the 25 November Award, created in 2005 and given annually to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, also in the framework of the Citizen Agreement for a Barcelona Free of Violence Against Women. This year brings the nineteenth edition of the award, under the slogan “BCN, free and safe spaces”.Starting from the premise that gender violence is a serious violation of human rights, the 25 November Award is aimed at moving towards full citizenship, autonomy and freedom for women in the city.
Under the slogan “BCN, free and safe spaces”, this year’s award places the emphasis on practices that help foster public spaces free of sexist violence.
The goal of the call is to offer financial resources and institutional support for the winning project to become a reality. The project must be completely new or at the start of its implementation.
Physical persons over the age of 18, groups, associations and non-profit organisations in the city of Barcelona can take part.
The award carries a monetary prize of 15,000 euros and the submission period for projects runs from the day after the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona until 11.59 pm on 13 September 2024.
