Agreement with the Fundació Blanquerna to reduce the digital divide among elderly people
Collaboration agreement with the Fundació Blanquerna to develop MasterTIC, a project to improve digital skills among the over-60s. The project is part of the plan “Barcelona, senior-citizen friendly city 2022-2030”, for a city that promotes the autonomy of elderly people. The project is based around the following:
- Developing four training workshops on: cybersecurity, tools and resources in artificial intelligence, tools to combat disinformation and tools for participation.
- Creating a community of facilitators in digital skills to give courses and monographic sessions.
- Gathering data from previous meetings to create a community of motivated elderly people.
- Creating the first meeting with people interested in working on possible activities for the training model and fostering networking.
The MasterTIC project will give continuity to the “Sèn10r-tic” project, which was launched in 2022 to reduce the digital divide among senior citizens through digital skills training at social and healthcare centres, community centres and centres for the elderly in the city.
