Healthy and sustainable food reaches all districts
The exhibition ‘For a sustainable food system. Let's act!’ will make its way around the city’s ten districts between now and January 2022, raising public awareness on the benefits of health consumption and the impact the food system has for the health of the planet. The installation will facilitate participatory channels through free recreational and experimental activities.Inaugurated at the Jardins de la Plaça de Can Fabra on 26 October, the exhibition is on until Sunday 31 October. It follows on from Sustainable Food Week, which along with the Global Forum for the Milan Pact on Food Policies, the Gastronomy Forum and the rest of the initiatives linked to the autumn of sustainable food, have mobilised around 100,000 people, with over 150 activities and a hundred organisations involved.
The Terra i Gust Sustainable and Fair Gastronomy Fair officially rounds off Sustainable Food Week next weekend. Sixteen restaurants committed to sustainable gastronomy will be offering a fair in Rambla de Santa Mònica, a market for small producers, a space for local craft beers, talks and a live cooking display.
