Through this programme, the City Council will be devoting two million euros to incentivise new job contracts for nearly 300 people currently out of work, in particular those with the most difficulty accessing the labour market. These include women, young people, the over 45s, the long-term unemployed and people at risk of social exclusion.

The programme has a special interest in companies in strategic sectors, generating quality jobs linked to 4.0 industry, the creative industries, the green and circular economy, the biological and health sector, logistics and others.

Companies taking on people at risk of social exclusion with permanent contracts or contracts of at least six months will get up to 8,000 euros for each full-time contract and between 2,000 and 6,000 euros for each part-time contract.

For permanent contracts given to young people, women and the over 45s, companies will receive 5,000 euros, provided the work contract is full-time. If the person was unemployed for a long time and the work contract is a for permanent full-time hours, the company will get 6,000 euros.

Crea Feina Plus is a programme to incentivise stable work contracts and prioritise full-time hours. Each company can receive up to ten subsidies. The application period is open from 10 May to 3 November 2023.

Over 1,200 stable contracts

Created by Barcelona Activa during the pandemic, Crea Feina Plus has helped 869 companies take on 1,212 workers, through a budgetary item of 7 million euros.

Out of the 1,200 plus people given contracts, 55% are women, a third are young people under 30 and over half have basic levels of education.

In terms of companies benefitting from the programme, these are mainly in the sectors of hospitality and leisure, commerce, business services and ICT.
