New agreement to create the future Hospital Clínic campus
The collaboration between institutions will transform 290,000 square metres in Av. Diagonal, on the side nearest the Llobregat, creating a health and science hub with facilities and spaces for local people.

The agreement was signed between the Government of Catalonia, Hospital Clínic, University of Barcelona, Hospitalet de Llobregat City Council, Esplugues de Llobregat Town Council and Barcelona Provincial Council.
The goal is to promote the urban development needed to build the campus, which includes the enlargement of Hospital Clínic, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, care facilities, university facilities, science and research facilities, community facilities and the connection with the L3 metro service, which will be extended to connect with this area.
The science and health hub will be located on the site currently used by the sports service for the University of Barcelona.
