Free dog training workshops to boost responsible ownership
An estimated 180,000 dogs live in Barcelona, with access to 116 recreation areas and spaces reserved for them. An agreement with the CIM specialist study centre is set to bring a free dog training workshop to each district, promoting animal welfare, good practice and coexistence. The first workshop was held in Pl. Raspall in Gràcia today (1 March). The dog training workshops consist of a practical training session by two instructors, with capacity for up to 25 people to attend. Students from the specialist dog training course at the CIM are also involved in the sessions. During the activity, participants are given the tools to control animals from a distance and teach them to listen.
