Return of the literary superblock for Sant Jordi 2025: exclusive priority for pedestrians
The people of Barcelona will be making the city their own again for Sant Jordi, enjoying a stroll with no traffic. Stalls selling books and roses will be back this year in the area between Gran Via, Av. Diagonal, Balmes and Pau Claris, and in La Rambla and a section of Gran de Gràcia, from Pla Nicolá Salmerón to Astúries.
All circulation (including bicycles and personal mobility vehicles) will be prohibited from 10 pm on 22 April to 6 am on 24 April inside the enclosed perimeter of the literary superblock in L’Eixample. During this time, it will only be possible to circulate in the perimeter streets around the block and in the streets of Aragó, València and Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes.
Bicing stations in this area will also be out of service
Parking will not be allowed in any of the streets within the perimeter from 10 pm on 22 April until circulation is reestablished. However, vehicles will be able to access public and private car parks.
Given the restrictions, people are advised to use the metro or go on foot to the literary superblock, as well as the spaces reserved for the sale of books and roses in the rest of the city.
