The best open-air cinema celebrates its 21st anniversary. The Montjuïc Castle is once again the city’s coolest cinema, with four nights of music and the latest audiovisual productions as part of the Barcelona Grec Festival.

8:45 pm: Concert by Alosa (jazz/pop/folk)

Singer Giulietta Vidal and cellist Irene Romo form a duo that was born in the Musician Workshops and has since become a viral phenomenon with creations that combine folk, pop, jazz, bossa and bolero styles. Have you heard their most popular song, A la voreta del foc [Around the fire]?

10 pm: Screening of Past Lives (USA, 2021; original version with Spanish subtitles), by Celine Song

Childhood friends Nora and Hae Sung are separated when Nora’s family emigrates from South Korea to Canada when she is only 10 years old. Many years later, when Nora is studying theatre in New York, they meet again online and decide to spend a week together that will make them reflect on love, fate and life’s choices.
