Barcelona 2023. Ada and Xavier are like oil and water: they don't mix. They live in the same city, but in completely different and opposite realities. Thanks to fate, or perhaps to chance, their paths cross and, despite their irreconcilable class differences, they fall in love. A unique love.
Ada and Xavier are going through a difficult time in their lives. Ada, a feminist, anti-capitalist, millennial actress, is hitting rock bottom: she owes three months' rent, she has no job and her bike has just been stolen. Desperate to improve her financial situation, she advertises in the civic centres of uptown Barcelona, offering to give drama classes "to the posh kids". Xavier, a dull and utterly predictable businessman from Sant Gervasi, spots one of her advertisements. He still hasn't processed the fact that his wife wants to leave him because he's boring - she says she doesn't want to live with a man who doesn't make her laugh. His relationship with his wife has been complicated for years, but he has always fought to save it. His family is everything. He is willing to do anything to save his marriage, and that includes putting on a tracksuit and going down to the Raval two afternoons a week to take classes to learn how to make people laugh.
Ada, although she doesn't think he has a chance - she finds him dull, tedious, bland, square, unexciting and unbearably conservative - accepts the challenge because she needs the money. Despite their mutual good will, problems soon begin to arise between them. In each work session, a battle between the two worlds is fought: romantic love versus polyamory, the businessman versus the anti-system activist, Sant Gervasi versus the Raval. But friction awakens passion and, despite their seemingly irreconcilable differences, Ada and Xavier end up together.
