La Ruta 40, an independent company that has created a dozen shows since it was founded in 2011 and has often worked with other directors, performers and creators, has proposed a collaboration with two artists targeted at younger audiences which combines text theatre, object theatre and music. Wood is the main element of this show, in which two pairs of hands move pieces around the space, making landscapes, stories, games, questions, images, numbers and words appear. On this imaginary journey, performers and spectators will share questions about how the world around them works, accompanying the constant discovery process involved in growing up.
The show is a joint creation by the company La Ruta 40 and a stage group comprised of Alberto Díaz, Maria G. Rovelló, Albert Prat and Sergi Torrecilla that work with both text works and creative projects. They are joined by Pau Matas Nogué, a playwright who has written pieces like Travy, in addition to working with sound and music. As a passionate fan of the poetics of objects, Xavier Bobés will also be there. He’s an old friend of the festival who in this year’s edition is reviving older projects while also sharing his latest work.
