Guillem Albà confronts his worst fears in a deliberate leap into the unexpected, the chaotic and the unpredictable. It is a desperate attempt to relinquish control, to leave his comfort zone, to face change and thus the unbearable evidence of death. And that is why he puts himself in the hands of Andrea Jiménez, one of the most irreverent and interesting creators on the Spanish performing arts scene.
All this fear I have now is the ninth show by Guillem Albà, a clown and stage creator with his own form of expression, which he has developed over the seventeen years that his creative company has been operating. His artistic universe is constantly evolving, expanding and revealing itself, combining disciplines such as visual theatre, comedy, puppetry, music and gesture theatre. His previous works have been performed on national and international stages (Europe, Asia, Latin America, etc.) and have been awarded prizes such as the Max 2022 Award for Stage Direction and the Audience Award at FiraTàrrega 2014. He has worked on other projects and productions as well, co-directing Canto jo i la muntanya balla [I sing and the mountain dances] (LaPerla29), directing circus shows and music bands such as Txarango and Love of Lesbian, presenting television programmes (Celebrem and El llenguado) and collaborating on radio programmes (Islàndia, on RAC1).
Andrea Jiménez has created and directed theatre shows for institutions such as the Centro Dramático Nacional, Teatro de la Abadía, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Centro Dramático Galego and Teatro Circo Price, and her work has been showcased at national and international theatres and festivals. She is the founder of the multi-award winning company Teatro En Vilo, winner of the Ojo Crítico de Teatro Award in 2019. Andrea explores the intersection between fiction and reality, truth and lies, theatre and performance, combining irreverence, comedy, enquiry and a constant renewal of her scenic and aesthetic expression.
