Theo Burt creates perceptual and semantic relations between image and sound. In his work, processes are given sound and vision, revealing the systematic manipulation of the structures and events that operate within each piece. Colour Projections establishes correspondences between sound events and geometric forms, whilst Processes for Control also documents the intelligibility of different processes, inviting the audience to choose between a passive audiovisual experience or active, analytic reception enabling them to comprehend the different mechanisms that are concealed behind the sounds and images.
