Pop, rock, soul, folk and a host of other rhythms, often clearly connected to roots music, fill the BARTS concert hall for four intense weeks in which women will play an important part.
The queen of Afro-Peruvian music keeps on championing the legacy of her country’s black music, fused with Hispanic rhythms. As a black woman she has suffered discrimination, and this gives her the strength to fight for the most underprivileged people, her weapon an exceptional voice with many registers that sings the most beautiful songs. With Afrodiáspora she once again pays tribute to the African legacy, highly visible in the music of the entire American continent.
