One of the main jazz clubs in Barcelona's Gothic quarter explores the American sounds in two concerts that fuse rock and soul and review the popular and rural rhythms of the 30s.
The singer Sharifah Muhammad from San Diego (California) debuts in Barcelona, with the complicity of one of the most valued bands in the Barcelona scene of blues, swing and early jazz, Chino Swingslide and his band. We will listen to them with a repertoire of American root sounds in which rhythm & blues, soul and rock and roll are mixed. All with the surprising voice of Sharifah, an explosive singer who combines strength, emotion and charisma and who is able to take to her territory themes that recall the greatest moments of black music.
A production of Harlem Jazz Club.
Musical interpretation: Sharifah Muhammad (vocal), Chino Swingslide (hawaian guitar), Federico Salgado (double bass), Oscar Hita (drums)
