This project takes the necessity of fiction in order to conjure up reality, to imagine it alongside the spectators themselves. Brecht’s Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny might well be a good excuse, building the consummate city of vice together with local residents. And yet, what if these residents built their own city of dreams? What if the fraternal experience of the party gave way to the cruelty that has always bubbled beneath the surface?
