Enter the cell. This short piece, created by a Majorcan company with international projection, invites you to live the story, narrated by body movement, of a relationship of mutual need that goes beyond all limits.
If you are surprised to see a prison – even a tiny one like this – in the middle of the city, it is because we are more used to see such facilities in the outskirts, far from the very society that generates them. However, Res de Res & Artigues have installed one in Plaça de Margarida Xirgu and invite you into the tiny space that recreates a real cell in the old Palma prison. There, two actors from the company will use their bodies to tell you a story of mutual need as intense, painful and true as it is technically extraordinary. A story of individual and collective freedom that received the Total Theatre Award for best physical and visual theatrical work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012.
