Iván Ferreiro, former lead singer and frontman with Los Piratas, presents a stripped down, intimate concert at the Grec Festival. Accompanied only by piano, Ferreiro will treat his audience to a surprising repertoire.
Songs of all kinds, with no limits on genre or period, but played always in the same unplugged style, featuring just voice and piano. That is what we will be hearing from Iván Ferreiro, an artist known to many as the frontman of a group that split up in 2003. Since then, Ferreiro has forged a solo career, winning a place in the industry and in the hearts of many fans with his unusual, personal style, at times dark, but always sensitive and poetic. For some time now, he has been recording and posting on YouTube what he calls “catastrophic perversions”, simple versions of songs of all kinds that he performs with his soulmate Catalina as soon as he gets up in the morning, accompanied only by keyboards. This gave him the idea of producing a show in which the audience will see, on two screens installed on the stage, the artist’s face and hands.
