The independent Barcelona scene has its stage at the Antic Teatre which, one more year, participates in the Grec by contributing with some of the most innovative and risky proposals of the moment.
Violence in general and, in particular, violence against women is the theme of the new show by Agnés Mateus and Quim Tarrida, who reflect on the subject in a direct and brutal manner, but who also criticize the passivity with which we welcome violence that has become part of our daily lives.
It has been more than ten years since each week "two" women die due to gender violence. And why do we say that these women "die" when we should say that they are murdered? These two creators invite you, precisely, to lose the fear of words, to say things as they are and not to be silent before facts and attitudes that do not admit silence as an answer.
The newest show by Agnés Mateus and Quim Tarrida, the former is a multidisciplinary performer and artist who has worked with creators such as Juan Navarro, Roger Bernat, Rodrigo García and Simona Levi; and the latter is an artist of neopop aesthetics linked to conceptual art, contemporary music and sound action.
Rebota rebota y en tu cara explota is a co-production of Festival TNT – Terrassa Noves Tendències 2017, el Antic Teatre (Barcelona) and Konvent (Berga).
