Hitting people with sticks gets you nowhere, but in a puppet show, this can be fun. Even more so in the hands of a master of the genre such as the British puppeteer Rod Burnett.
You know those shows with glove puppets where there is always a bossy character that hits everyone? You see them in Italy, in our country and around the world, but in Britain this is a long-standing tradition that is still just as much fun today as centuries ago, when this type of theatre was first invented. Come and see Mr. Punch, hear his strange voice and wonder at the size of his nose and his red cheeks? Be warned: this is not the most peaceful show in the world, but kids and adults alike are certain to enjoy it. Just don’t try it at home: it hurts.
