Anne, a housewife, meets a couple at a bar and, while she’s there, witnesses the girl’s murder at the hands of her partner. She is fascinated by what she has just seen, with a morbid instinct that she shares with Chauvin, a worker that she meets by chance. The two of them discuss what has happened and speculate about the possible motives for the crime. And, as they talk and talk, Anne becomes gradually more attracted to Chauvin.
