A circus show that uses the Chinese pole as its point of departure invites us to ponder the fragility of the human being and how life can place us in an extreme situation at any time.
In the middle of the stage a man and a large pair of scales play a game of weights and counterweights in search of the limits of equilibrium. It is a physical game, for sure, but symbolic too, in which we will all recognize those moments when we have to make decisions that may have changed our lives. An almost sculptural structure and a Chinese pole used differently to the usual way are the central elements of the show, which avoids being too dramatic by introducing moments of poetic, complicit humour, irony that will allow the audience to identify with the protagonist as they listen to the music played live on stage. The result is a total show created by Jordi Panareda, a circus artist who also trained in movement and contemporary dance and who created the company Circ Pànic. Panareda has been joined in this show by notable circus performers and dancers.
