Mikey Woodbridge, an iconic figure from Berlin's queer underground scene, is an Austrian-born musician, singer, performer, painter and DJ. He plays with themes such as personal transformation, integrity and identity in all his work. At El Molino, with Argentinian dancer, singer and model Lucio Vidal (solo dancer of the Staatsballett Berlin company), he will defy gravity with his platforms in a disco session and a show that merges dance, theatre and performance from an avant-garde show girl perspective. The most artistic, colourful and imaginative cross-dressing from the German capital bursts onto the stage at El Molino.
For his part, the Basque-based performer, producer and disc jockey Hombre Bosque offers us a vibrant experience with Carlos Carvento, a Cordovan dancer of classical and contemporary dance who is passionate about drag art. Together they will perform an exercise in post-folk and electronic fusion that will evoke Lorca, Raquel Meller, fandangos, mining hymns, jotes, saetas, disenchantments, passions, quejíos and the wild cry of a people in pain.
Molinex is a celebration of diversity through performativity linked to the performing arts, music, performance and rescuing memory. As part of the Barcelona Grec 2022 Festival, this is a “queer” rogue’s offering With El Molino as the stage and El Paral·lel as the context.
