Toméo Vergès returns to the Festival with his latest creation, JOKS., a piece that takes its inspiration from the literary universe of Don DeLillo. JOKS. is a reflection on the feeling of emptiness that lurks behind the comfort of contemporary life, employing scenes from film and literature to portray life as a game and as a struggle… a struggle against death, against our fears, against our doubts. A dance performance employing cinematographic visual languages, JOKS. is a thought-provoking piece full of the humour we have come to expect from Vergès.
