La Venus de Willendorf

Newspaper reports of an unprovoked attack carried out against a homeless woman provided Iago Pericot with the material he needed to create a show featuring violence of all kinds. For this reflection on the brutality that fills our newspapers and television screens, Pericot chose an impartial character: a prehistoric Venus alien to the anguish of the present. Around her, eight performers move to the rhythm of Johann Sebastian Bach’s St Matthew Passion, a composition that also narrates a violent episode and provides a perfect accompaniment.
