La menzogna

Pippo Delbono’s career, spanning more than twenty years, is indelibly marked by the director’s immense humanity and the tenderness in reveals when dealing with the rawest, most intimate themes. His is a theatre of images and action, of music and dance, of textual fragmentation, a collage with Fellinian touches, bursting with life as Delbono delves into the very depths of our existence. Delbono uses the shows he creates, such as La menzogna (‘The Lie’), which will be presented at the Grec’09, as an excuse to take to the stage and ask questions and more questions. To ask questions about life and its shadows, always seeking to share with the audience a reencounter with the child we all carry within us. So far inside, sometimes, that it is difficult to coax the child out.
