Jazz and cançó (Catalan Song) team up to lead us on a musical journey, stopping at some of the all-time greats and the most diverse styles. The voice of Celeste Alías and the piano of Marco Mezquida will perform songs by Cole Porter and music by Eric Satie, not forgetting copla, cançó and Brazilian music.

Gospel Meets Flamenco (gospel/jazz/flamenc)
Pianist Ramon Escalé, from Manresa, leader of the Barcelona Gospel Messengers choir and the Jamboree Big Latin Band, accompanies the voice of Paula Domínguez in an evening that is sure to thrill their audiences as they explore common territory between flamenco and soul music. An intimate, emotive show is guaranteed.

Leslie Helpert & David Soler

They say that her voice is one of the best-kept secrets on the Barcelona jazz scene, but you can be sure that, after this duet with the guitarist David Soler, everyone will be talking about Leslie Helpert, a New Yorker who has lived in the Catalan capital for some years now. Besides singing, Helpert dances, writes, draws and has a thousand other talents. This performance will showcase some of the most recent additions to her repertoire.

There can be few more unusual duets than that formed by Gemma Abrié and Miquel Àngel Cordero, combining double bass and vocals. This evening, they will team up to present pieces ranging from jazz and pop to Catalan cançó, as voice and strings transmit authentic emotions through the medium of music.

From a very young age she became immersed in the golden age of North American gospel, soul and blues, so it is no surprise that she forged a career for herself in music and ended up singing none other than that legendary trio The Supremes. In this concert, she is accompanied by the piano of Jaume Vilaseca, as the duo pay homage to the black roots of US musical culture.

The saudade of fado and the mysteries of jazz find common ground in the voice of Sofia Ribeiro, one of the rising stars on the Portuguese music scene. Accompanied by the warm guitar style of Bartolomeo Barenghi, her voice takes us on a musical journey to remember great figures on both sides of the Atlantic, from the jazz of Maria João and Ella Fitzgerald to the fados of Amália Rodrigues.
