IX Obrador d'Estiu de la Sala Beckett - Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe

  • Altres

This year, La Nau Ivanow hosts three activities devoted to contemporary dramaturgy that combine education, debate and readings. The Obrador d'Estiu summer workshop at the Sala Beckett, the Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe project and the PIIGS Festival are three separate but interrelated initiatives that focus on one single theme: how to tell stories in today's world.

The Grec Festival of Barcelona again hosts a new edition of the Obrador d’Estiu de la Sala Beckett, an international meeting for contemporary dramaturgy, with workshops, seminars, debates and dramatised readings. This year, moreover, the activities include the project Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe, a new initiative aimed at making contemporary European drama better known and promoting translation and performance of such works. Fabulamundi is a European project that enables Barcelona audiences to attend dramatised readings of four contemporary works that have already been presented in Austria, Romania, Italy and France. The respective playwrights are expected to attend the readings of their works.

You will find further information on the Obrador d’Estiu and Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe on both the Grec Festival of Barcelona and the Fabulamundi project websites.
