In tune with events in the Grec Festival of Barcelona, the Film Library is planning a comprehensive cycle for films from Australia and New Zealand or that take place in our antipodes.
For the third consecutive year, the Barcelona summer festival continues its exploration of the scenes in the planet. If in previous editions it started in the Mediterranean and then jumped to Asia, now it offers us a route that crosses the Pacific to link Oceania with the American continent. The cinema, which has been participating in the festival's programme for a long time, is a good tool to get closer and understand the most distant cultures, that's why the Filmoteca de Catalunya this year takes us to a tour of images in Australia and New Zealand, among other territories, which includes interesting films through which we will discover ways of living, landscapes and talents of our antipodes.
