Root music, from Asia and also from the Mediterranean, performed today in one of the most outstanding centers of live music in the heart of Barcelona.
The Sephardic and Middle Eastern music tradition, but also flamenco, jazz and Balkan music are part of the musical universe of the Hamsa Hamsa, a Barcelona band that brings ancestral rhythms and melodies to the present. Basques, Catalans, Israelis, French ... The musicians that form Hamsa Hamsa have very different origins, but same love for the music of Mediterranean roots, be it Judeo-Sephardic, Arabic and Andalusian or Flemish. A musical journey from the East to the West that invites us to know, respect and appreciate the common points of sounds that speak of cultural diversity, but also of shared rhythms. A meeting point between diverse musical traditions with folk, jazz and emotion as main ingredients.
