How can you start dancing when you have already learnt the languages of movement? How can we combine these languages in order to, in some way, express who we are and what is happening to us right now? These are some of the questions posed by Jesús Rubio Gamo, a young independent choreographer who is currently considered to be one of the most interesting artists on the European scene. He is making his festival debut with Acciones sencillas [Simple Actions] from 20 to 22 July, at Mercat de les Flors, a choreography that highlights the complexity of simplicity.
However, before his performance, we have a chance to get to know the artist in a meeting with spectators on the Instagram Live de Recomana.cat channel, a conversation moderated by the cultural journalist and dance critic Clàudia Brufau.
