Bartabas and the Théâtre Zingaro have featured in shows of the most diverse nature. Some, like Cabarets, are defined by their wild, hot-spirited quality; others, such as Loungta, by their extreme spirituality; yet others – Éclipse, for instance – by their absolute beauty. All, however, form part of a career spanning twenty-five years of artistic adventure that is evoked in this film. In it, as if he were galloping backwards, Bartabas retraces his steps whilst always gazing ahead, into the future. A selection of poetic texts, recited by Bartabas, accompany this chronicle of a life devoted to fusing the stage with the equestrian world.
