What is escape, if not a form of struggle, a refusal to be resigned, the hope of a better life? It is also a means of distinguishing between what is superfluous and what is essential, and proof that solidarity is an indispensable condition for survival. The spectators taking part in this experience of theatre in movement will realize this straight away. They will have to follow the members of the company, figures that appear and disappear and who seem to have everything planned, a network of individuals who will make the spectators experience moments in hiding. They will reveal to them hiding places that are oases of calm in the city, but most of all they will teach them the value of solidarity and a fraternal feeing that will inevitably grow among those sharing the experience. All of them will make an escape that is, at the same time, the journey of all mankind.

Kamchàtka is a group of artists of different nationalities who met in Barcelona in 2006 and began, under the direction of Adrian Schvarzstein, a street theatre act and an investigation into immigration. They performed the show Kamchàtka, from which the company took its name, for the first time in 2007. In 2009 they created Música per a les feres, a classical music show for everyone, for the Grec Festival of Barcelona, and in 2010 they premiered the show Habitaculum at FiraTàrrega.
