Fora de joc

Fora de joc [Offside] is the story of a family and the immigrant who looks after grandfather. The crisis will deliver a serious blow to all their future aspirations, but the crisis is nothing more than a pretext to explore the relations between these characters, their wishes and their needs. And all with plenty of acid humour and a good helping of fantasy. The play talks about football, seeing it as a kind of balm that society hangs onto madly in order to forget their everyday problems. The economy is in a mess, society and politics are in tatters… But when I wrote the words “The End”, hours before the final of the Champions League in Rome, you could feel the joy in the air.
