Betevé, the Barcelona Grec Festival’s official media outlet, is preparing to broadcast some of the shows to be performed at the Teatre Grec and the Mercat de les Flors. The shows will be broadcast live on television, as well as streamed online via Betevé web and app (both Android and iOS versions are available), but you can also watch it later, at the stated times.

Carrer Robadors
This year’s opening show is the stage version of a novel by French author Mathias Enard about a young man from Morocco living in Barcelona during the turbulent days of the Spanish anti-austerity movement. A show directed by Julio Manrique with a cast of young actors, including some of Arab descent.

Trio Da Kali
A group of griots descended from West African musicians and storytellers are the main stars in a show created specifically for Barcelona and featuring both Catalan artists and artists of African descent.

Buika
An all-round artist who has successfully integrated the most diverse styles in her artistic career – she is said to be a musical genre in herself. Something that she will prove once again in a concert forming part of her “Buika World Tour”. You should pay attention to all the great musicians who will be accompanying her, but particularly to flamenco dancer Yinka Esi Graves, the evening’s guest artist.

Love, love, love
Shall we talk about love? This is what the well-known actor and director José Corbacho and the humanist and educator Ramon Gener will be doing, accompanied by the Vallès Symphony Orchestra. Here you will find 50 musicians on stage, a pinch of chemistry and a touch of maths. Music and love with a load of artists and tunes ranging from Wagner to The Beatles, and from Mozart to Beyoncé. A show that will make you fall in love.
