Baró d’evel

The second part of a diptych that opened last year with Là, this work offers a new model of a poetic and relaxed circus where the presence of animals is an essential element. Once again, they explore oppositions as well as collective work.

Both Là performances, one in the 2018 Grec Festival of Barcelona and the other at the Teatre Lliure de Gràcia during the past season had a "sold out" sign, so quickly did the rumour spread about a company formed by the French Camille Decourtye and the Catalan Blaï Mateu Trias, but also by animals that are an essential part in their poetic shows. was first a crow and, this time, they will be a horse and some pigeons, as well as a few collaborators, a lot of acrobats, who share the stage with the couple. Falaise (cliff in French) is indeed the second part of a diptych that was born with the idea of exploring opposites, contrasts, between a white and a black that would dye the feathers of a bird but which were also gradually scattered throughout the show. These same colors, the white and the black, return to dye the stage and the costumes of the performers, some artists who star in a sort of ritual or movement ceremony that finds its strength in the unity of a group driven by one only energy. They work and dance together in unison without, however, renouncing their personalities and taking their own risks. Everything happens in a space with different levels which allows artists to evolve, rise, lower, fall or slip while the horse and the birds move freely around the scene.
