A contemporary dance choreography takes the form of a dreamlike delirium to take us a journey that begins in internal shadow and ends in light. Winner of the 2015 Theatre Institute Dance Prize.
As its title suggests, Gold Dust Rush is a choreography that alludes, precisely, to delirium, fever, physiological disorder, as its key concepts. In it, the choreographer and dancer Eulàlia Bergadà invites us on a visual and sonic journey around the concept of delirium, understood as a cathartic state from which light and creativity emanate. In this way, the disorder caused by delirium becomes a source of wealth and light and also the axis around which Gold Dust Rush, for this is a work in which internal disorder emerges from inside the body, blossoming into frantic movement. The piece is full of allegorical images of ideas about hope, vision and dream as it confronts the concepts of mysticism and religion with those of lust and vanity. Gold Dust Rush was awarded the first Dance Prize, an accolade launched by the Theatre Institute with the aim of introducing young artists and performers and providing them with support for production and exhibition.
