Escola d'Òpera de Pequín

Founded half a century ago by three noted Chinese opera performing artists, the school has trained more than three thousand professional performers, specialising in jingju opera, music, acrobatics, puppet theatre, etc. In Barcelona, the school’s most outstanding pupils will present three shows enabling audiences to discover the fascinating process by which an actor is born, showing the different aspects of their training. Following Chinese opera tradition, each pupil specialises – according, not to their sex, but to their physical and mental aptitudes – in a particular character, defined by a particular gesticulatory style,
facial painting and vocal register.
