Robots and androids will play an ever more important role in our lives in future. They have already reached the Grec 2013 Festival of Barcelona, where they will perform in the play "Les tres germanes, versió androide" and take part in an activity devoted to debates on their role in real life and fiction.
What are the latest advances in the field of robotics? How far will we take these artificial beings, which appear ever more human? How did the Hiroshi Ishiguro Laboratory of Osaka University turn them into actors? Leading experts in robotics from our own country, Japan, Germany and other countries will answer these questions and many more at an event that also includes the participation of several artists that have given machines and interactive installations leading roles in their shows. These guests will explain the future applications of robots and androids in daily life and will demonstrate how they can be used to transmit emotions.
