One of the best-known and most admired of Catalan theatre companies celebrates its fortieth anniversary. Live music for one and all at an outstanding and beloved attraction in the city.
Since the company was founded in 1974, Dagoll Dagom has enjoyed some of the biggest hits on the Catalan theatre scene. Their most successful productions include such shows as Antaviana (1978), based on short stories by Pere Calders, Nit de Sant Joan (1981), Glups (1983) and Flor de nit (1992), to name but four. Now, for their anniversary, Dagoll Dagom are organising a party, and everyone is invited. Needless to say, the guests will include actors and musicians that have worked with the company over the years, and these stars will be appearing on the stage at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, starting at 9 pm. A little later, at 10.30, the action moves to the Fountains of Montjuïc, which will perform a splendid choreography featuring some of the best-known melodies from Dagoll Dagom’s musicals. Next, the company will present the new cast of Mar i cel, a classic from the Dagoll Dagom repertoire that is about to be revived once more. You are all invited to toast them with beer or cava!
