This autumn, the Barcelona International Jazz Festival arrives at the 50th edition and, to commemorate the event, the Grec Festival of Barcelona hosts five concerts: one, by guitarist Pat Metheny at Teatre Grec and four at the BARTS room.
Cory Henry (keyboardist of Snarky Puppy and author of a record in 2016, The Revival, with a taste of the future classic) brings to Grec one of the most stimulating recipes of jazz, gospel and rhythm & blues instrumental of the last times. From the most authentic gospel to Stevie Wonder, Henry's proposal explores all the colors of funk riding the very special and sensual sound of Hammond B3, a mythical instrument in the history of bluesy jazz. Powerful dynamics, sessions full of stimuli, construction of the songs almost in a collective way with the audience ... Henry's concerts are usually unique and very emotional experiences.
