In line with the trip to the Grec Festival of Barcelona, during July the Filmoteca has programmed a cycle made up of Australia and New Zealand films or those that take place in the antipodes.
The name of the first English prison colony in Australia, origin of the country, gives title to this film. It tells the journey of a group of prisoners on an English ship with a cruel captain in the late eighteenth century. The film was shot in the USA, but has an Australian director.
