From Grec... to Grec! One of the festival’s greatest hits from the last edition returns: a production which talks about life’s biggest themes, based on a series of traditions and customs which lead the characters to tragedy...
Life, death, love... These are the axes around which the fate of the protagonists of this tragedy evolve. A tragedy created in the mind of the poet from Granada, who with this production, returns to the stage this time placing an emphasis on musicality and the poetry of the text. It deals with characters who follow their instincts and who allow themselves to get carried away by passion, jealousy and an array of dark feelings which lead them toward death. The whitewashed walls and the red blood envelop the main protagonists, two lovers who are surrounded by dry and strong characters in a show conceived as a long poem. Oriol Broggi, the same director who this year opens the Grec Festival in the Grec Theatre, stages a performance that has some exceptional actors as its protagonists (among them Clara Segura and Nora Navas) and that has live music brought to you by the well-known musician, Joan Garriga, who brought various successful musical fusion projects to life such as Dusminguet or La Troba Kung-Fú.
